What is downselling?

Down-selling means offering and selling a customer a "cheaper" product instead of the "higher-priced" product the customer originally intended.

Or if strategic sales…as an introductory service or 
 
Sure, every salesperson wants to get the most out of a sales conversation and increase sales… however, this is only short-term thinking, especially when it comes to building a long-term and trusting customer relationship.
 
It sounds strange at first, but it has an incredibly important aspect.
 
 

Purpose of downselling

Downselling has many strategic advantages which – if applied cleverly – not only make the customer happy, but also lead to future, higher-value product or service sales, recommendations, etc., through the trust you have gained…
